This quirky comedy stars Michelle Pfeiffer as Frances a penniless Manhattan socialite who is struggling to live on what’s left of her husband’s inheritance. Cashing in the last of her possessions Frances resolves to live out her twilight days anonymously in a small apartment in Paris, accompanied by her directionless son Malcolm (Lucas Hedges) and a cat named Small Frank who may, or may not, embody the spirit of her dead husband.
