Orchestra of the Swan and very special guests, Radio 2 Folk Award winner Jim Moray and rising star of the jazz world saxophonist and composer Trish Clowes, explore the crossroads between the oral folk tradition, authenticity, the creativity of ‘mishearing’ and the ‘set in stone’ culture of the classical score.
From the traditional music of the British Isles and the Balkans via 14th century Italy (also taking in New Wave, urban 80s rock and late 60s psychedelia) this is an unmissable, exhilarating and unexpected musical journey with one of this country’s most groundbreaking chamber orchestras.
