The journey of parenthood is a magical and maddening one so what better way to cope with it than through stand up comedy! Each week we’ll have 3 top circuit comedians, normally parents themselves oh and one token childless one to remind you, you’re doing ok, even if you have forgot to bring a gluten free rice cake.
We’ll bring the toys, the food and the funnies, all you have to do is bring your baby, but beware, this is an adult comedy club, it will have mature content, sweary words and the odd birth story flash back.
This special afternoon gig has toys, reduced amplification and a dimmed room so no one will notice those red eyes from sleepless nights. You’re encouraged to bottle, breast or Haribo feed, and we’ll serve food from 12 so you can actually eat yerself! You can walk about, or shake Mittens the Special Rabbit in order to soothe your offspring and no one will moan or mutter if your little one cries or screams.
There’ll be a full bar too, so go on, treat yerself to a Prosecco, you deserve it!
The gig is open to parents, Aunts, Uncles, Grans, carers, in fact anyone who needs some afternoon comedy and doesn’t mind some cute babies in attendance.

Your AFTERMIRTH headliner is Sally-Anne Hayward who is taking a quick stop off from supporting Sarah Millican on tour to show us why she’s one of Europe’s most sought after acts. She's also just finished wowing audiences in Dubai and back in the Uk is a festival Stalwart, regularly compering Glastonbury Festivals Cabaret Tent and is a keenly anticipated turn on the UK comedy circuit
An accomplished radio presenter with stage and TV acting credentials ('Absolutely Fabulous' BBC, 'Why the Long Faces' Square Donkey Productions, and TV warm-up for 'Deal or No Deal' Channel 4), Sally-Anne's confident persona and quick wit have rapidly made her a much sought-after comedian. .
Sally-Anne is an award-winning comedian (Holsten Pils 'Fans of Comedy' award)and a sought-after corporate performer (with clients including Orange and Alcatel).
She has proven her writing talents with numerous Edinburgh Fringe shows and can display a depth of material that marks out the best comic talent. She has performed all over the world and has provided tour support for Russell Howard and Russell Kane.
Sally-Anne combines the things you shouldn't like about your best friend's mum with the sensibilities of Jack the Ripper.
Chortle praised her "bubbly stream of comedy anecdotes" and "butter wouldn't melt in her mouth" style. BBC London Live simply called her 'fabulous'.
A journalist also, Sally-Anne has written for Standard Issue Magazine on a variety of subjects.
